How can I be sure of confidentiality?
Consider the risks associated with a breach of confidence. At Cleinman Performance Partners, our business is built on keeping sensitive information confidential. All members also agree to a confidentiality agreement.
What about legal issues surrounding information sharing?
Generally, this type of information sharing carries no legal risk, as all parties are non-competitive and do not have significant market share.
May my staff attend?
Membership and regular attendance is currently limited to owners. However, we anticipate times when senior managers may be invited to participate but only with prior permission from the Managing Executive Director. We do offer staff training programs for General Managers and Senior Staff.
Where are the meetings held?
Meetings are currently held in the East during the summer and in the West during the winter. Meeting sites are adjacent to major airports to maximize productive time.
What time of year?
Each group's semi-annual meetings will be held approximately six months apart, with six months' notice on dates.
Can I join multiple groups?
You certainly may. Each group membership requires additional fees.
Can I change groups?
Yes, for a good and valid reason.
Can I be removed from a group?
Yes, for a good and valid reason.
Will suppliers be involved?
CPN has enjoyed sponsorship from some of the premier suppliers to independent optometry. We choose sponsors based upon their absolute commitment to grow their business by helping our members to grow their practices. Sponsors cover approximately 1/3 of members costs to participate in CPN. Sponsor presentations focus on market opportunities and industry trends, not on their products or services
Who sets the meeting agenda?
You and the other Group Members do. Prior to your meeting we provide you with tools to help you decide what you want to accomplish at your next meeting. When you and your other Group members begin your meeting the agenda is developed from the issues and challenges each of you brought to that particular meeting.
What does a typical agenda include?
Each meeting will contain adequate time for each member to present his or her recent activities and results. Additionally, guest speakers lecture and present workshops on topical subjects. Finally, we will host breakout sessions and discussion groups about various business and professional issues. There will also be informal networking opportunities during meals. The entire meeting process is designed to deliver timely and progressive ideas and information.
I belong to a study group now, why should I join another?
Study groups address patient issues on eye health. CPN focuses on the business side of eye care. CPN's function is to share proven practice building information with the top performing practices throughout North America .
I am under contract with a practice management consultant.
Why should I join?
CPN information sharing groups are highly successful peers working together to share ideas on practice growth and development. It does not replace working with a consulting firm and by design can complement that resource very effectively.
I have used Cleinman Performance Partners before and already have their information. How is this different?
CPP provides custom consulting, planning and implementation services to owners of larger practices focused on attaining specific personal and business goals. CPN is a peer-generated, professionally facilitated, information-sharing program designed to help you learn and build new ideas utilizing a different set of tools.
